We are pleased to announce that Phase 1 and 2 Mary House, Martha Trust, 490 The Ridge, Hastings picked up a highly commended Public and Community Award at the 2007 Sussex Heritage Trust awards in July.
Quadric and Architect Paul Dowinton were praised for constructing and designing a home which so effectively meets the needs of young people with profound and multiple disabilities.
Our Managing Director, Gary Williams, received the award at the high profile awards dinner at the East Sussex National Hotel in Uckfield.
Martha Trust are currently working with us on plans for phase 3 at the home on The Ridge in Hastings. Construction will commence early in 2008 and will include a hydrotherapy pool for residents and for use by people in the community, plus a further 4 bedrooms providing further much needed residential and respite care.
The Large Scale Residential Award was awarded to 75 Holland Road, Hove for the conversion of a major listed terracotta commercial building into 20 live/work residential units for sale, which included the complete refurbishment of the property.
And last but not least, Renaissance House, London Road, St Leonards-on-Sea received a 'Highly Commended Commercial Award for the conversion of an existing church into office space on behalf of Hastings Borough Council. The building underwent extensive refurbishment including a new mezzanine floor and now provides modern office accommodation for the Social Services Department.
