Prestigious Sussex Heritage Award Winner - Again

Quadric were celebrating again after winning a Highly Commended Commercial Award in the prestigious Sussex Heritage Trust Awards 2009.

This latest award to Quadric brings the number of awards won by the company to four over the years that the competition has been held.

This year we entered one project - the Design and Build of a two storey commercial building comprising of three linked blocks and five units located in East Hoathly.

The awards were presented by the Rt Hon Lord Lloyd of Berwick at a luncheon attended by over 200 people at Farbridge, Preston Farm, Chichester.

Malcolm Johnson, Chairman received the award on behalf of Quadric and said 'Its always gratifying to win awards especially in a competition such as this. Sussex Heritage recognised the culmination of twelve months of very hard work by the whole project team to ensure this building was respectful to the surrounding landscape through the use of its materials and convincing design solution.'

The Judges said 'A development of purpose built industrial units adjoining a residential area, including the good use of brickwork and complimentary materials.  The workmanship is above average in a sector not known for it's quality and design and execution but is commended for its use of energy saving materials'.
